Macros are an essential part of all MMOGs allowing people to execute a series of commands with a simple key combination. Because Star Trek Online will play differently than most MMOGs, the role of macros will also vary. The first person shooter content on away missions will probably only use macros for conversation while the bridge crew may use macros for flight maneuvers or weapons firing.
