Players will choose from among nine different Races familiar to fans of the Star Trek series. While all of these players will be Federation, you will have the choice of Klingons, Ferengi, and Cardassians, races not common to Starfleet. Star Trek Online takes place 20 years after Star Trek Nemesis, at the end of time of peace and cooperation in the galaxy. Perpetual has not yet revealed the story to explain how these races became prominent members of the Federation.
