Like all MMORPGs a major component of Star Trek Online will be the social atmosphere. When not directly involved in their missions, players will be free to roam the ship to play casual games or chat with other players. Galaxy class starships and Star Bases will serve as meeting places for thousands of people, and organization points for bridge crews setting out on missions.
