Commissioned officers usually command ships and star basses. Having proven effective leadership abilities, courage, and problem solving skills, these officers are rewarded with a chance at the captain’s chair. They are responsible for choosing the direction, and methods of carrying out orders from Starfleet. They choose from among the options presented by their staff on exploration missions, and decide the strategy for engaging in combat.

Commissioned officers should have access to the largest, most advanced ships in the fleet.
