Sovereign class ships are designed to implement the most advanced developments in weapons, shields, computing, and warp drive. These capabilities, coupled with the comforts and research capabilities of Galaxy class ships make them an excellent new line to carry out the most important missions from Starfleet. Like the Galaxy class ships, Sovereign class vessels will serve as hubs for players. Unfortunately, they won’t be available for player control.

Sovereign class vessels are equipped with a small Capatin’s Yacht built into the lower side of the ship. The yacht is larger than a shuttlecraft, and warp capable. The yacht is also equipped with phaser emitters and a deflector array.

The Enterprise-E, sovereign class ship replaced the Galaxy class Enterprise-D first in Star Trek First Contact.
